About this event

COVID-19 has hit everyone hard – but most especially our young people.

Disrupted schooling, lost rites of passage, isolation and uncertainty are just some of the myriad impacts the pandemic has had upon teens.

Parents are understandably worried about the impacts of COVID on the mental health of adolescents – but are we underestimating the strength and resilience of our young people, and the power of parents, families and communities to support them?

Join us for a community information session exploring the mental health impacts for children and young people, and how we can best respond. Featuring keynote speaker Georgie Harman, CEO of Beyond Blue, this session will focus on reassuring and practical strategies to enable parents to support their kids.
